Michelle is an Award Winning Television Executive, Celebrated Author, Grief and Resilience Warrior, Non-Profit Founder and Crisis Doula that has survived unspeakable personal trauma and found her way to the other side. Her talks have inspired local, faith-based, and corporate audiences around the country to lean into change, build confidence, and find a way forward.
Michelle Hord is the former Vice President of Creative Content and Talent Management for NBCUniversal. In this role, she partnered on the launch of the corporate Women’s Initiative and worked to develop strategies to increase engagement, recruitment, and development of women at the company. In a prior role with NBCUniversal as Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Campus Programs, Michelle designed and was responsible for recruiting across all of NBCUniversal, also creating the first corporate paid internship program.
Before her time with NBCUniversal, Michelle worked for more than fifteen years as a producer for a variety of shows such as “America’s Most Wanted,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and the CBS News Investigative Unit at “48 Hours.” As a senior executive for “Good Morning America,” Michelle served as a senior producer for Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts and show contributors such as Barbara Corcoran, Tory Johnson, and Mellody Hobson.
